Last June I received the exciting news from London that The Abortionist’s Daughter had been selected as a Summer Read by Richard & Judy, whose show on the BBC is widely watched. (As my editor said, they’re the English equivalent of Oprah.) Copies of the book filled store windows, ads appeared in the Tube – a whole new experience for me.
